Manuscript Studies, a Diamond-level open-access journal, publishes new and original research representing the full complexity of global manuscript studies in the digital age.
Manuscript Studies accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Articles should engage in a larger conversation on manuscript culture and its continued relevance in today’s world and highlight the value of manuscript evidence in understanding our shared cultural and intellectual heritage. Studies that incorporate digital methodologies to further understanding of the physical and conceptual structures of the manuscript book are encouraged. A separate section, entitled Annotations, features short articles on research in progress, new discoveries, and project reports.
Please note:
- **When submitting your manuscript, please indicate in the abstract whether your submission is an Article or an Annotation. **
- Do not include your name or other personal information in any uploaded documents, including the manuscript, abstract, or other other supporting documents.
- Authors will be required to affirm compliance with Manuscript Studies Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy (available here)
